Our history

Darul Uloom Faizan-E-Ashraf was established in 1992 at Ashraf Nagar, Basni Behlima, in Nagaur district, Rajasthan. It was founded on a straightforward conviction: that a student should not have to choose between the Quran and a school certificate.

That conviction is why what began as a single madrasa now runs as 5 institutions on one campus — the Darse Nizami college, a Hifz college, a dedicated girls' institution, and two Rajasthan Board schools, one Hindi medium and one English medium. A family can educate every child, at every stage, without leaving the campus.

Today around 1,000 students study here, at a student-to-teacher ratio of 40:1.

Leadership

Maulana Hafiz Mohammed Saeed Ashrafi

Head of the institution

The institution is led by Maulana Hafiz Mohammed Saeed Ashrafi, under whose direction the madrasa, the schools and the girls' institution operate as a single body with a shared academic calendar and a shared standard of conduct.

What runs on the campus

Five institutions, nineteen programmes, one admissions office. A student can enter at nursery and leave with the Aalimiyat degree without ever changing campus.

Our vision

To be a leading centre of Islamic education that produces scholars, leaders and responsible citizens who embody the teachings of Islam and contribute positively to society.

Our mission

Four commitments that shape how every one of our nineteen programmes is taught

Comprehensive Islamic education

Authentic Islamic knowledge through the traditional Darse Nizami curriculum, taught in full rather than in summary.

Character development

Tarbiyah alongside taleem. A student who memorises without adab has been only half taught.

Academic excellence

Recognised Rajasthan Board schooling in Hindi and English medium, so that a religious education never closes a secular door.

Education for girls

Jamiathu Zahra exists so that the question of whether a daughter continues her education does not arise. It is not an annexe; it is an institution.

Come and see the campus

Admissions run from April to July. Visit, meet the teachers, and ask whatever you need to ask.
